Joe Maguire would like to thank every one who helped him after he suffered a head injury at Peterborough last night.
The left-back suffered a blow to head from a fierce shot just three minutes after coming on the pitch in the 4-0 defeat.
He was stretchered off after a 12-minute delay and went to Peterborough Hospital before he was discharged in the early hours of this morning.
"I would like to thank every one, including the Accrington staff, the Peterborough medical staff, everyone at Peterborough Hospital and the Stanley and Peterborough fans for their support.
"I have a bit of a headache today but I have had a CT Scan and it was thankfully all-clear.
"I can't remember anything about the incident, I can remember coming on the pitch and that's it.
"I have had concussion a number of times now so I know the procedure. I'll be back healthy and fit to help the lads as soon as possible!"
