Accrington Stanley FC are overwhelmed by the number of Season Ticket holders who have declined the opportunity of a 50% refund on their Season Tickets.
Many have generously opted to pledge the 50% refund to go towards the new furnishings within the proposed supporters bar due to be built behind the main stand and the many others who have opted to decline any refund whatsoever in order to support the football club through the current financial hurdles due to the Wham Stadium being closed to supporters during the current Covid restrictions.
Managing Director David Burgess said: “We are delighted but not surprised at the support the Stanley faithful have given to the club throughout the Covid lockdown.
“It was the right thing to do to offer all Season Ticket holders a 50% refund and the fans have been true to form with many foregoing their refund to help and support the club through the Covid restrictions.
“We’ve had loads of messages from Season Ticket holders telling us to keep the 50% refund on offer as their pledge of support to this great community club and, without them, we would be nothing. It really means so much to everyone.
“Hopefully, once the latest lockdown is completed, we can all look forward to when supporters will be allowed back into the stadium when I’m sure it will be another memorable Stanley party.”
