All the important information ahead of Stanley's clash with Ipswich Town

10 January 2020

Accrington Stanley manager John Coleman will be hoping his side can return to winning ways in Sky Bet League One when they face Ipswich Town at Portman Road tomorrow afternoon, 3pm kick-off.

The Reds went unbeaten in December before losing to Rochdale at home on New Year's Day, but Stanley did secure an away victory over Fleetwood Town in the Leasing.com Trophy on Tuesday night.

However the hosts suffered a 2-1 defeat in the same competition to Exeter City last Saturday, and The Blues have failed to win in the league since Tuesday 5th November.

In the dugout at Portman Road is Paul Lambert following his appointment in October 2018, making him the first ever manager to manage both Ipswich and Norwich City.

Ipswich currently sit 5th in the Sky Bet League One table, with the Reds occupying 17th place.

Striker Colby Bishop grabbed a brace earlier in the season as the Reds secured a 2-0 win over Ipswich at the Wham Stadium.

The 25-year-old departed the Wham Stadium in the summer of 2018 to join Ipswich for an undisclosed fee and Jackson has gone on to make 65 appearances to date for the club. The striker has found the net on seven occasions so far this season.

James Norwood - Norwood joined Ipswich in the summer of 2019 from Tranmere Rovers after he grabbed 90 goals for the club in 180 appearances. The striker's time with Tranmere also saw the club clinch consecutive promotions in both the National League Play-Off Final and the Sky Bet League Two Play-Off Final last season. Norwood's final season with Rovers also saw him win the Sky Bet League Two Player of the Year award. The 29-year-old has grabbed nine goals in 24 appearances so far this season for Ipswich.

Inside The Dressing Room

Stanley midfilder Joe Pritchard admits that he has enjoyed operating as a winger for the Reds so far this season.

"I've never really played in wide positions before as I've always played in the centre of midfield.
