No easy games: Coleman

12 October 2018

John Coleman is expecting another tough test for his side tomorrow, despite some bookmakers having Stanley as odds-on favourites to beat Bradford City at the Wham Stadium.

The Bantams have not started their campaign the way they would have liked, and sit 22nd in League One after just three wins.

Stanley meanwhile are just a point outside the Play-Off places, chasing a third-straight home win in the competition after victories against AFC Wimbledon and Doncaster.

However, the Reds' boss insists that with the season still relatively young he is not reading too much into league positions or form.

“We're not worried about what other people perceive as to who should win the game,” said Coleman. “It's about what you actually do.

“If you don't work hard, you don't get your rewards, and our lads have been working their socks off all season.

“There are no easy games in this league and it certainly won't be easy on Saturday.

“We've watched Bradford play and as I say every week it's going to be a difficult game, because every game you play is difficult in the EFL.

“Possibly in the past when we've hosted Bradford before they've been huge favourites, but it might be even-stevens on Saturday.

“Whatever you've done in the past goes out of the window, and it's about what you're going to do going forward.

“We've seen how they've performed in recent weeks and they can give anyone a game.”
