John Coleman admits he is usually on a golf course on transfer deadline day as he dodges phone calls from people wanting his players.
Today he has his phone on - as he has a number of targets, having already sold Matty Pearson, Shay McCartan and Omar Beckles in the summer.
"Usually I am on the golf course with my phone off on transfer deadline day but we have lost hopefully all the players who we are going to lose," said Coleman.
"Now I have my phone on as we are hoping to bring two or three in."
Coleman has already signed defender Jordan Thorniley on loan from Sheffield Wednesday.
"He has had a good upbringing at Everton and he has been in around the Sheffield Wednesday first team in pre-season. He is a no-nonsense defender with a sweet left foot who suits the way we play."
