SIGNING: Jake joins on loan

Striker Jake Bickerstaff joins the Reds from Wrexham on loan until the end of the season

1 February 2024

Accrington Stanley have today completed the signing of striker Jake Bickerstaff from Wrexham on loan until the end of the season.

Born in Merseyside; Bickerstaff, who is a product of The Red Dragons' youth system, returned to the SToK Cae Ras in 2017 after two years with Liverpool and recently signed a contract extension until at least 2026.

The 22-year-old has previously gone on loan to Caernarfon and Nantwich, and has played 15 times for Phil Parkinson's side so far this season, scoring against both Walsall and Swindon Town in Sky Bet League Two.

John Coleman said: "Jake has played against us this season, he has played some League Two football and it's an opportunity for him as Wrexham have been making signings.

"We need a striker and he fits the bill. He can play in behind, he has good pace and he is a finisher."

Jake added: "I am buzzing, I am looking forward to it. I want to get as much game time as I can and Accrington are in a great place in the table, they are doing well.

"It's only February so hopefully we can now push on up the table. It's a really exciting challenge for me and I can't wait to get started."

A full interview video with Jake will be uploaded to the club's official YouTube channel later this month, CLICK HERE to find out more!

The move is subject to FIFA, EFL, English FA, and Welsh FA ratification.
