Josh Andrews scored a brace as Accrington Stanley returned to winning ways with a 2-1 victory over Forest Green Rovers.
The Reds hadn’t won in three games but on-loan Birmingham striker Andrews struck in either half with his head to take it to five goals for the season.
Stanley had to survive late pressure to move into the half of the league while Rovers, who slipped to a sixth successive loss, dropped to the bottom of the League Two table.
Tommy Leigh missed out through injury with Shaun Whalley coming back into the starting XI.
Jack Nolan fired over and Sean Robertson had a goalbound strike deflected for Rovers but chances were limited in the early stages.
Stanley took the lead on 18 minutes when a quickly taken free kick from Shaun Whalley sent Nolan down the right and he crossed for Andrews to head home.
Stanley were on top then and a Matt Lowe strike was blocked while Andrews headed over in the six-yard box.
Forest Green keeper James Belshaw stopped Whalley’s strike tucking into the top corner of the net on 27 minutes.
At the other end, Forest Green’s best chance came on 40 minutes when Kyle McAllister’s thumping header was kept out by the legs of keeper Jon McCracken.
Early in the second half, McCracken denied Matty Taylor from a tight angle while Troy Deeney had a free header but could only guide it wide.
Stanley made it two on 51 minutes when the three combined again. Whalley’s free kick found Nolan whose deep cross landed on the head of Andrews who was around two yards from goal.
Taylor’s quick shot was well held by McCracken as Rovers looked to get back into it while captain Joe Pritchard curled an effort just wide at the other end on 62 minutes.
Nolan ran half the length of the pitch but couldn’t find the target while substitute Jacob Maddox fired over for the visitors and Reece Welch headed straight into McCracken’s arms.
Rovers got one back after a spell of pressure on 83 minutes when Fankaty Dabo’s ball in was headed home by fellow substitute Matty Stevens.
