Accrington Stanley defender Baba Fernandes has today received a call-up to the Guinea-Bissau squad.
Fernandes made his senior international debut last month as Baciro Cande's side, who had already secured their place at next year's Ivory Coast-based Africa Cup of Nations, recorded a 2-1 victory over Sierra Leone.
The Djurtus will travel to Portugal and face Guinea and Togo in friendlies, with the West African nation then beginning their 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying campaign against Burkina Faso and Djibouti in November.
