Accrington Stanley, in partnership with UCFB's Global Institute of Sport, are delighted to announce a brand new scholarships programme for aspiring football coaches and performance analysts starting their Masters degree in September 2023.
UCFB's Global Institute of Sport is the leading destination for Masters degrees and executive education in the world's most exciting sector.
GIS' goal is to unite, inspire and equip the current and future leaders of the global sports industry.
The 'Football Coach-Analysts Scholarships' will offer four successful applicants an incredible opportunity to push their careers in the football industry.
Successful scholars will gain experience working in the club's Academy on the development of players from Under-8s to Under-16s, through their academy coaching and performance analysis programmes.
The successful candidates will also assist in the performance analysis process within the Professional Development Phase/first team elite environment.
This is all alongside studying on a GIS' MSc Football Coaching and Analysis or MSc Performance Analysis in Football degree.
Other benefits for receiving the scholarship includes:
- £1,600 towards Masters tuition fees.
- Mentorship with a senior staff member at Accrington Stanley.
- £3,000 to cover travel costs associated with the role.
GIS course leader for MSc Performance Analysis in Football and MSc Football Coaching & Analysis, Connor McGillick said: "The Football Coach-Analyst Scholarships in partnership with Accrington Stanley are an amazing opportunity for Masters students to engage in real-world coaching and analysis whilst they study.
"The positions will enable students to learn theoretical and applied skills within the classroom at the Global Institute of Sport, before applying these to plan and deliver coaching sessions, support players and coaches with video and data analysis, and learn vital skills within a professional football environment.

To be eligible for this scholarship, you must be an applicant holding an offer on our MSc Football Coaching and Analysis or MSc Performance Analysis, be UK-based during your student and meet Accrington Stanley's requirements for the Coach-Analyst role.
The deadline for scholarship applications is Friday 30th June 2023.
