Accrington Stanley can today confirm that defender Matty Carson has left the club.
The 20-year-old, who arrived at the Wham Stadium in July 2021, made his Reds debut against Leicester City Under-21s three months later.
Carson also played 11 times for Ged Brannan's Under-23s team; scoring in last season's 3-1 Lancashire FA Senior Cup victory over Wigan Athletic.
Matty said: "I've loved every minute of it. My time at the club has given me everything, I've learnt a lot of little things that have helped me and I've managed to improve my overall game.
"I can't thank the gaffer, Jimmy Bell, John Doolan, Ged Brannan and Andy Gray enough."
