Accrington Stanley's Tommy Leigh has been suspended for three matches following an incident in the Sky Bet League One fixture against Shrewsbury Town on Saturday 18th February 2023.
The midfielder's behaviour in the second minute was not seen by the match officials at the time, but it was caught on camera, and he subsequently admitted that it constitutes violent conduct.
Leigh submitted that the automatic three-match penalty was clearly excessive but an independent Regulatory Commission determined that it was not following a hearing.
