Accrington Stanley, the Official Accrington Stanley Supporters' Trust (OASST) and Out Stanley Out are proud to be supporting the EFL and Stonewall's Rainbow Laces campaign, which aims to raise awareness of the stigma and discrimination that LGBTQI+ people in sport still face.

Since Rainbow Laces first kicked off in 2013, the campaign has brought visibility for LGBTQI+ people in sport and raised awareness of their experiences on and off the pitch.

Over the last ten years, we've seen so much progress made, with several athletes bravely coming out across multiple sports, with support from their clubs and the vast majority of fans.

Whilst the Out Stanley Out group was set up by and for supporters of the club from the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer and Intersex (LGBTQI+) community, membership is not exclusive.

It is also open for anybody who supports the group's aims, including friends, families and allies.

We want to help make the Wham Stadium, and football in general, inclusive spaces where everyone feels safe to be themselves.

The aim is that, by having a visible and supportive network already in place, people will feel comfortable to come forward and be confident in attending football matches knowing that this supportive environment of LGBTQI+ fans and their allies exists.
