Accrington Stanley have today completed the signing of defender Joe Gubbins from Queens Park Rangers on a season-long loan.
Born in Oxford; Gubbins arrived at Loftus Road from Southampton ahead of the 2017/18 campaign, before making his senior debut as a substitute in a 5-1 Emirates FA Cup victory over Swansea City in January 2020.
The 22-year-old, who has also had loan spells at Aldershot Town and Southend United, has played a total of five times for The Hoops; with two of those appearances coming under Gareth Ainsworth so far this season.
John Coleman said: "Joe has been on loan at Southend and has impressed, he has also started in the Championship this season.
"He is a left-footed defender, which we need at the moment, and he will go straight into the squad for tomorrow's game."
Joe added: "I first heard about the move on Tuesday night, and I jumped at it because I want to come up here and show what I can do.
"I'm really looking forward to getting started, it's a massive opportunity for me. This is something I've been waiting for, I want to start my career and make a name for myself."
