Accrington Stanley midfielder Dan Martin has today signed a new one-year contract with the club.
Martin, who has been a Red since the age of nine, was offered a professional contract at the Wham Stadium in September 2020 and made his first team debut in last season's Carabao Cup first round.
He played his maiden EFL Trophy and Sky Bet League One games the following month, with the 21-year-old then featuring a further 26 times for John Coleman's side; as well as eight appearances for the Under-23s.
Martin's new contract will keep him at the Wham Stadium until the summer of 2024.
John Coleman said: "Dan is a very accomplished player. This is a big season for him now, he has to grab his opportunity when it comes and make it that he is so influential in games, we can't leave him out."
Dan added: "I have been at the club since I was nine-years-old and it means a lot to me.
"It was a dream to break into the first team last season and this is a big season for me now to progress."
A full interview video with Dan will be uploaded to the club's official YouTube channel later this week, CLICK HERE to find out more!
The extension is subject to EFL and FA ratification.
