Accrington Stanley defender Baba Fernandes has today received his first ever call-up to the Guinea-Bissau squad.
Fernandes, who has previously represented Portugal as an Under-17, signed a two-year contract at the Wham Stadium in August 2022 and has since made a total of 25 appearances for John Coleman's side.
The Djurtus will continue their 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying campaign against Sierra Leone, with the West African nation having already secured their place at next year's Ivory Coast-based tournament.
