Accrington Stanley can today confirm that midfielder Ethan Hamilton has joined Lincoln City for an undisclosed fee.
The 24-year-old, who arrived at the Wham Stadium from Peterborough United on Tuesday 31st August 2021, then made his Reds debut four days later as a second half substitute in a 2-1 defeat to Sunderland.
He played a total of 87 times for John Coleman's side, with the midfielder also scoring 13 goals.
Ethan said: "I got to share a pitch with some great people and play for great staff. It's difficult to sum up in words really, because it was so enjoyable to play for the club and everyone associated with it."
John Coleman added: "Ethan has been a great servant to the club.
"He came two years ago and you can never doubt his commitment to football, he worked his socks off every game, he was a pleasure to have in the squad and work with on a daily basis.
"He used to get frustrated with himself at times but you couldn't doubt his enthusiasm or desire and he has a wonderful left foot. I hope he goes on to great things and justifies the potential that he has shown so far.
"You have got to be philosophical, you have certainly to be pragmatic, we get players on the back of being able to put them onto bigger and better things.
"He would sooner play in League One than League Two and I have nothing against him for that. The club will get a few bob and so it's a situation which is more palatable than losing players for nothing."
