COMMUNITY: Reds show support for local domestic violence charity

Stanley have donated 10 family tickets to a local charity for Sunday's Funfair and Fireworks display

Accrington Stanley have today showed their support for a local domestic violence charity by donating 10 family tickets for this Sunday's Funfair and Fireworks display at the Wham Stadium.

The Emily Davison Centre is the first Ending Violence Against Women and Girls (EVAWG) hub in the United Kingdom and allows individuals to access support when they need it, reducing the risk of escalation and serious harm.

Their specialist teams are not only experienced but understand the complexity and intersectionality of individuals and families situations.

Stanley's Managing Director, David Burgess said: "We are delighted to support such a worthy cause within the local community.

"We hope that the families benefit from these tickets and that they have an enjoyable evening at our Funfair and Fireworks display."

A spokesperson for The Emily Davison Centre added: "The tickets are going to go to the families that we work with and it's amazing that they've now got an opportunity to attend an event like this.

"We're extremely happy to be working with Accrington Stanley and it will help make it a stronger approach to helping families and children."
