Accrington Stanley have today completed the permanent signing of midfielder Rosaire Longelo from Newcastle United for an undisclosed fee.
Longelo, who primarily plays as a left winger, joined The Magpies from West Ham United in the summer of 2018.
He made a total of 55 appearances for Newcastle's Under-23s and contributed to 11 goals during that time, including scoring seven himself.
The 22-year-old arrived in East Lancashire on a two-game trial in November, with the DR Congo-born winger then finding the net in the 4-0 Central League win over Huddersfield Town.
John Coleman said: "He is someone who came to our notice and he came and trained with us and played a game with the Under-23s.
"He will give us something a bit different, he will take people on, he likes to carry the ball and he will excite the fans. I am looking forward to working with him."
Rosaire said: "I was here on trial and I enjoyed my tme here. I got to know the lads, got on with the coaches and gaffer and I am a big fan.
"I can't wait to get going now. It’s my time now and I want to show people what I am made of."
Rosaire's first interview video will be uploaded to the club's official YouTube channel later today, CLICK HERE to find out more!
