WELCOME BACK: Stadiums back to full capacity

Update on Season Tickets and Bradford City friendly

6 July 2021

Accrington Stanley aim to be at maximum capacity for the 2021/22 season.

The Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced yesterday (Monday 5th July) most Covid restrictions were to end in England on July 19th and full capacity crowds can return to sporting venues.

Anticipating a return of unrestricted crowds and removal of any crowd restricted test events from July 19th, renewal of season tickets for the Farley’s Solicitors Clayton End Stand will go on sale to current season ticket holders from Monday 12th July. These will go on open sale on Monday 19th July.

Renewal Season Tickets for the HML Recycling Stand and Studio.uk Stand will go on sale to all current season ticket holders on Wednesday 14th July – current season ticket holders have until Friday 23rd July to purchase their current seat number/s.

Please be aware there will be some disruption due to the ongoing construction work and therefore a need to move some seated season ticket holders to other areas of the HML Recycling Stand.

HML Recycling Stand and Studio.co.uk Stand season tickets will go on general sale to non-season ticket holders from Monday 26th July.

Match tickets for Stanley’s home friendly against Bradford City at the Wham Stadium on Saturday 31st July, kick off 3pm, will go on sale with unreserved standing and seating from Monday 12th July.

All Concessions £5

Due to the ongoing construction works within the HML Recycling Main Stand, only the Farley’s Solicitors Clayton End and Studio.uk Stands will be in use for supporters for this pre-season friendly.

EFL Press Release

Trevor Birch, EFL Chief Executive, said: “The EFL welcomes yesterday’s positive announcement by the Prime Minister that capacity restrictions are expected to be lifted later this month, which will allow us to finally press forward with our plans to see a full return of fans to EFL stadiums from the start of the new EFL season in just four weeks’ time.

“Football has been planning for this outcome since the outset of the pandemic and having been forced to endure empty stadiums since March 2020, the message from EFL Clubs is that we are ready to re-open and welcome fans back in numbers.

“From the EFL’s own participation in the Events Research Programme and our Club’s extensive experience built up over many years, we are confident that all our Clubs can successfully manage large scale events and we will continue to work with the Government on the guidance that will help support their matchday operations.

“The developments, of course, have been made possible by the staff at the NHS and countless medical experts and scientists who have helped to develop and roll-out the vaccines.  On behalf of the League and its membership, I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for playing such an important role in helping re-open our sport and wider society.”
