Following a couple of instances of pyrotechnics being used within the stadium and after consultation with the EFL and Lancashire Police, the Accrington Stanley matchday stewards will complete a random search of spectators entering the Wham Stadium.
This will be for both home and away fans, please allow extra time to enter the stadium.
It is extremely dangerous for pyrotechnics to be lit and thrown, with the club having already had a couple of instances this season of adult fans being burned and children in danger of being burned.
If pyrotechnics are used, the club will be sanctioned which may ultimately lead to games being played behind closed doors.
