SIGNING: Nolan agrees a one-year deal with the Reds

Winger Jack Nolan joins the club from Walsall on a one-year contract

Accrington Stanley have today completed the permanent signing of former Walsall winger Jack Nolan on a one-year contract.

The Portsmouth-born winger has been on trial with the club since the start of pre-season, with the 20-year-old grabbing the second goal in last week's 2-0 win over Warrington Town.

Nolan, who also provided the assist for Joe Pritchard's goal against Preston North End, came through the youth system at his hometown club before joining Reading as a 14-year-old.

Having impressed during his two-year scholarship, the former England Under-17 international signed his first professional contract with The Royals in May 2018.

Walsall then paid an undisclosed fee for the winger in January 2020 but following the curtailment of the 2019/20 campaign, he was limited to just 16 appearances for The Saddlers.

Jack said: "I have been here since the start of pre-season so it’s really good to get it over the line.

"It’s a good group of lads which makes it even better and I can’t wait to kick on now and have a good season.

"The coaching staff are top drawer and they are very clear in the way they want to play."

A first interview video with Jack will be uploaded to the club's official YouTube channel later today, CLICK HERE to find out more!

The move is subject to EFL and FA ratification, with Jack set to wear the number 35 shirt.
