Accrington Stanley have today completed the permanent signing of midfielder Rhys Fenlon on a two-year deal.

Fenlon, who was born in Salford, began his footballing career with Parkwydnn Juniors before joining Stanley's youth set-up at under-8s level.

The 18-year-old later left the Reds to join Manchester City, with the midfielder then signing a scholarship with Burnley in July 2018.

After signing his contract, Fenlon explained what the supporters can expect of him: "I've got a lot of pace that I can bring into the team and I'm very good technically.

"I've gelled in with the squad well, they're all open to a chat and everyone seems quite tight.

"I think I'm one of them players that likes an arm around the shoulder and I've got players around me that can do that, I think that's what is going to get the best out of me."

Rhys' first interview will be uploaded to the club's official YouTube channel later today, CLICK HERE to find out more!

The move is subject to EFL and FA ratification.
