The Official Accrington Stanley Supporters’ Club (OASSC) have launched an ambitious scheme to provide a memorial garden at the Wham Stadium.
The garden will be sited on the land adjacent to the rear car park behind the Farleys Solicitors Stand.
It is the intention to provide a quiet secluded area for periods of reflection to remember the Stanley fans who are no longer with us.
Individual plaques will be available for purchase, in due course, and will be mounted in the two curved walls.
As part of the garden there will also be planted areas and benches provided for those visiting the garden.
It is also planned to feature a small memorial to those who gave their lives, from the town, in the two great wars.
To help fund the project, the OASSC are kindly asking for donations from the Stanley family and in return names will be displayed on the funders board at the entrance to the garden.
The suggested donations are a minimum of £10 for an individual name, £20 for a couple or £25 minimum for a family entry, you can of course donate more than this amount if you so desire.
