Accrington Stanley's PSA testing day on Saturday 8th February proved to be a huge success with 123 men coming along to the Redz Bar to be tested.
With the club having no game that weekend, the PSA testing day was held in partnership with the Barry Kilby Prostate Cancer Appeal (BKPCA).
Of the 123 who attended, 111 received green results with two receiving amber and 10 receiving red, which means that their PSA level was significantly raised above the normal.
All have been referred to their GP's for further testing.
The club would like to say a big thank you to the phlebotomists who all gave up their day off to come along and help with the PSA testing day.
A spokesperson for the BKPCA said: "The results from the Accrington Stanley test event just go to prove that we are carrying out lifesaving work.
"It was a pleasure to test for the club and we wish the guys who have been referred on for further testing all the best."
Stanley's Commercial Manager, Daniel Bowerbank said: "As a club we are looking to continue to add more value to both the local community and to our supporters by offering events like this throughout the calendar.
"We are pleased that our first event with the Barry Kilby Prostate Cancer Appeal was a well attended event and we are looking to hold another event later in the season.
"We would also like to thank Lancashire Tea for donating boxes of tea to all those who registered for the event."
