UPDATE: Match protocol for returning fans and season ticket information

Season tickets back on sale next week #standupbecounted

26 August 2020

Accrington Stanley can now announce plans for the 2020/21 SkyBet League One campaign with season tickets back on sale next Tuesday 1st September.

Following a meeting between the club, Accrington Stanley Supporters Trust and the Stanley Ultras, details have now been put in place for the new campaign under the EFL Matchday Protocol for Return to Elite Socially Distanced Competition (Stages 3 and 4)

Under the new EFL and Government guidance, the Wham Stadium can, from early October, and subject to a successful test event, operate with a reduced capacity of 1535 which will ensure that supporters will be able to watch the game socially distanced throughout the stadium. This policy will remain in place until all EFL and Government restrictions are lifted.

Initially there will be two games played behind closed doors -  Leeds United U21s in the EFL Trophy on Tuesday 8th September and Peterborough United for the opening game of the Sky Bet EFL League One season on 12th September.

Subject to final approval from the Safety Advisory Group, the League One game at home to Oxford United on Saturday 26th September will be a test event where 770 supporters are allowed into the stadium, all sat and stood socially distanced throughout the four stands. The club intends to admit the first 770 season ticket purchasers for this game.

Subject to a successful test event against Oxford United, the first game played with the maximum number of socially distanced fans will be in the EFL Trophy group stage match where Blackpool are the visitors on 6th October. The maximum number of 1535 supporters will be allowed into the stadium. This game will be free entry to season ticket holders only.

All remaining home games from then onwards there will be a maximum capacity of 1535 supporters allowed into the stadium. This will be limited to season ticket holders only until all EFL and Government restrictions are lifted.

Season Ticket Sales

Please Note:

  1. The maximum capacity at the Wham Stadium for Season 2020/21 will be 1535 (unless the EFL and Government restrictions are lifted)
  2. Season Ticket holders can purchase their current season ticket seat and the club will ensure you can sit in the regular seat at the earliest opportunity. However, as long as social distancing measures are in place, the club will need to assign seating in order to maximise the potential capacity at the Wham Stadium. For the coming season this may be in either the HML Stand or the Studio.com stand (seated) or Farleys Solicitors Clayton End (standing) or Coppice End (standing) and these are non-transferable. You can state your preference upon purchasing a season ticket but once the maximum numbers are reached in each stand you will be located in the stand/s with remaining capacity.
  3. When purchasing a season ticket/s please confirm whether you are part of a social bubble group and how many are in that group so we can make the necessary arrangements when allocating seats – a maximum number of 6 persons from 2 families are the current Return to Elite Socially Distanced Competition guidelines.
  4. It is the club’s intention to supply streaming passes for season ticket holders for games that are played behind closed doors
  5. The club appreciates the uncertainty ahead of the upcoming season. Whilst the situation is not ideal, offering loyal season ticket holders priority access to games when the turnstiles do open, whilst providing a streaming alternative should games be played behind closed doors, allows the club to forecast revenue streams and plan the match day operations appropriately. As such we hope all supporters understand we are unable to offer credits or refunds for behind closed doors fixtures during the upcoming season.
  6. There will be no Loyalty Card sales for Season 2020/21 – this will be reviewed if the restrictions are lifted and full capacity can return to the Wham Stadium
  7. Season Ticket purchasers will receive options of streaming the home League One games played behind closed doors via the EFL streaming network - iFollow
  8. The maximum number of supporters in each stand will be: Farleys Solicitors Clayton End – 415, Coppice Stand – 370, HML Stand – 360, Studio.com Stand – 390
  9. The Redz Bar can only be used for hospitality guests until restrictions are lifted
  10. Post-match ‘Winners’ Hour’ will be held at the Farleys Solicitors Clayton End bar – fingers crossed! – all socially distanced.
  11. For your and the administration team's health and wellbeing, you will be able to pay by card or cheque for your season ticket and all food and drink purchases inside the stadium will be cashless (NO cash at all)

We need to fill the stadium to the maximum number allowed with season ticket holders (1535).

We need you to buy into and support the temporary protocols the club are having to put in place whilst restrictions apply

Your support and acceptance of these restrictions will help the club get through these difficult times and come out stronger on the other side.

You will need to socially distance

You will need to sit away from your normal seats and sit in seats allocated by the club for this season

You will need to stand on the Coppice Terrace once the Farleys Solicitors Clayton End reaches reduced season ticket sales capacity (415)

You will need to socially distance in all areas of the ground

You will need to arrive earlier than usual
