Accrington Stanley are building for the future after announcing a partnership with Nortons Hiab Services Ltd.
The former club shop and offices were demolished last week and Nortons have provided a fully refurbished 40’ x 12’ modular building to replace them.
Nortons have loaned the building free of charge until the new hospitality and supporters’ bars are built along the back of the HML Recycling Stand.
The building will act as the away directors and guest lounge, once supporters are allowed back into the stadium, and will be sited in the same place as the old building.
Stanley Managing Director David Burgess said: “We are delighted that Nortons Hiab Services are supporting the club through these difficult times with the loan of the building.
“The old one was on its last legs and the offer of the loan has come in the nick of time.
“Once the inside is kitted out and new graphics are fixed on the outside it will look great and will help that part of the ground look a little tidier.
“It may be a while before we begin the new bars, so the temporary building is ideal for our needs until then. I can’t thank Nortons enough for their support.”
Keith Robinson, from Nortons Hiab Services, is a Stanley season ticket holder. He said: “We are happy to support a community club like Accrington Stanley.
“Times are tough for everyone at the moment and to be able to assist the club with a world famous name and help them along the way was an easy decision.
“We hope they won’t need it too long which will mean the new bars are built and ready for the supporters and community to use.”
Norton’s Hiab Services Ltd have been offering Hiab and transport services for the past 20 years. They are a specialist HIAB Hire company centrally located in Manchester, operating throughout the UK. They also specialise in selling, buying and refurbishing portable cabins and containers.
