Accrington Stanley midfielder Jordan Clark has scored two goals in his last two games, and as he previews tonight’s game with Wycombe Wanderers, he hopes the club can start turning more of their good performances into positive results.

Clark’s goals came in the games against Bristol Rovers and Sunderland, and the midfielder admits that they have acted as a confidence boost to both himself and the rest of the team.

“They’ve been just a confidence boost really, as a team we’ve been playing really well and we weren’t getting the results until the Milton Keynes Dons game.

“We got a good result in that game and we built on that against Fleetwood Town in the Leasing.com Trophy, and then obviously playing Bristol Rovers, we tried to take the positives from.

“It’s always nice to score on a personal note but we’ve just got to go again now and focus on tomorrow night, we know it’ll be a tough game and hopefully we can get the win.”

Stanley’s midfielder also explained how if the side can cut out the mistakes as team, then they’ll start to earn better results and progress further up the league table.

“We just feel like we’re getting punished for any mistake we make and teams aren’t really having to do a lot of work to score against us, which is the hard thing to take.

“If we keep playing like we are and we cut out the mistakes as a team, then we’ll start picking up more points.”

Stanley face Wycombe this evening, and Clark knows they’ll be a tough team to beat, but that all the team’s concentration has to be on themselves.

“They’ve been flying, they were top of the league, they got beat the other day but it’s a tough league.

“They’re a good side, they’ve got good players and obviously they can play, they can go direct, but we’ve just got to be concentrating on ourselves and take the chances when they come.”
