Reagan Ogle suffers ankle injury

Southport loanee having a scan

24 October 2019

Stanley defender Reagan Ogle has suffered an ankle injury playing on loan at Southport.

The Australian damaged his ankle ligaments in Southport's National League North game with Hereford on Tuesday night.

"I jumped up for a header and I landed on their guy's legs and turned my ankle. I heard a few pops and was unfortunately stretchered off," said Ogle.

"It's my first serious injury so I am gutted but it's part and parcel of football."

Ogle, whose loan finishes in January, has returned to the Wham Stadium and will go for a scan this afternoon to find the extent of the injury.

Southport won 3-2 with another Stanley loan defender Zehn Mohammed scoring for sixth placed 'Port.
