Stanley's win over Bolton was watched live in North America

The inaugural OASSCNA meeting saw 11 supporters watch the Reds' 7-1 win live in Arizona

Not only did this weekend consist of Accrington Stanley securing an impressive 7-1 win over Bolton Wanderers, it also saw the inaugural meeting of the Official Accrington Stanley Supporters' Club of North America (OASSCNA).

The historic event saw 11 of the club's biggest overseas fans gather together to watch the Reds' game against Bolton live on iFollow Stanley at The Other Room Sports Bar in Glendale, Arizona.

Those that got up for the 8am (MST) kick-off managed to see John Coleman's side put seven goals past the visitors, with iFollow Stanley's Benjamin Wild also giving a shout-out to the OASSCNA during commentary.

The OASSCNA, which is connected to the Official Accrington Stanley Supporters' Club (OASSC), was founded by Phil Kennedy, Arran Airs and Matt Robards, with the three of them better known as the hosts of the Across The Pitch podcast.

As well as Kennedy, Airs and Robards, the OASSCNA is also supported by Mike Paolella, Edward Cunningham and an ever-growing group of Accrington faithful in the Arizona desert.

Across The Pitch host, Airs said: "It may have started as a lark, our support for Accrington Stanley, but it's beyond that now.

"It's great to feel a part of a team that is some 5,000 miles away!

"We hope that we can build upon the momentum and have more football fans stateside to join us for an Accy watch in the future.

OASSC Chairman, Peter Leatham added: "We are delighted to be able to assist Phil Kennedy in setting up the fledging, but blossoming, OASSCNA.

"We have already forwarded some shirts, scarves and their own membership badges out to Phoenix, with more items going this week."

The OASSCNA will now be making this a monthly occurrence, with Stanley's away game against Doncaster Rovers on Saturday 21st December being the next scheduled meeting.
