Accrington Stanley will face Sunderland at the Wham Stadium in Round One of the Carabao Cup after the draw was made in London this evening.
The Black Cats finished 5th in Sky Bet League One last season, and are currently managed by Jack Ross.
This evening's draw took place at Morrisons in Colindale, with John Barnes and Ray Parlour drawing the balls.
The draw was split into a Northern and Southern section and was unseeded.
The tie will be played the week commencing August 12th with further details to be announced nearer the time.
