Stanley off to Sligo

7 June 2019

Accrington Stanley will travel to Ireland to face Sligo Rovers for their first pre-season friendly.

The Reds have already announced friendlies with Bala Town (20th July), Warrington Town (22nd July) and Morecambe (27th July), but John Coleman's side will make the trip to Ireland before that.

Coleman, along with his assistant Jimmy Bell, managed Sligo in 2014 while captain Seamus Conneelly spent three seasons at The Showgrounds.

The coastal seaport side are now managed by Liam Buckley and currently occupy sixth place in the League of Ireland Premier Division table.

The game will take place on Monday 8th July, 7.45pm kick-off.
