John Coleman is happy with his transfer business and is positive his players will perform on the pitch tomorrow as the Reds face Blackpool, weather permitting.
The Reds welcome Terry McPhillips' promotion-chasers to the Wham Stadium as they look for their first League One win in 2019.
Coleman has signed goalkeeper Dimitar Evtimov in a permanent deal during January and added Liam Gibson (Newcastle), Luke Armstrong (Middlesbrough), Janoi Donacien (Ipswich) and Paul Smyth (QPR) on loan until the end of the campaign.
"I like to do my business early and it always baffles me when people are trying to get deals done at 10.55pm when they have had all month to do it," said Coleman.
"I think we have a strong set of players for the final push. You can only do what you think is best and I think we have assembled a decent squad, we will have to see how they perform on the pitch."
The recent snow means the game is under threat tomorrow but work has been happening on the pitch all week to try and get the match on.
"We hope it goes ahead, it will be a great atmosphere, a big crowd and, for us, it's a chance to get back to scoring goals and winning games.
"Since we last played Blackpool in a 1-1 draw at August, our season has been up and down, more downs than ups. Terry McPhillips has done a remarkable job in difficult circumstances.
"Blackpool are a bit Jekyll and Hyde team themselves although they have had better mini-runs, had some really good results, and are a capable side.
"However we are a capable side too. The fact we haven't scored for five league games doesn't reflect our chances made but teams do go through flat spells. You haven't to get too despondent.
"We are making chances but not taking them but if the law of averages is correct, at some point we are going to have a five/six goal fest as all the chances will go in at once.
"We just have to keep going, no one misses on purpose and we have good enough players to score goals."
Defenders Ross Sykes and Liam Gibson are both battling to overcome niggles while Sam Finley is suspended.
