Accrington Stanley's first team squad spent this afternoon giving out presents to the children at the Royal Blackburn Teaching Hospital.

Assistant manager Jimmy Bell and a selection of first team players were on hand to give out the presents, which hopefully put smiles on the children's faces.

Accrington Stanley Community Trust's Community Engagement Officer, Elle Kayley said: "It was great to see that the visit from the players had put smiles on both the children's and parent's faces, helping brightening up their day a little."

Stanley's Commercial Manager, Daniel Bowerbank added: "It is always great at this time of year for the club to visit the local hospital to give out gifts to all the children.

"It's important to come here and for the club to undertake additional community activities throughout the year.

"The smiles on their faces and to see the players interact with all the staff and families on the wards makes it all worth while at this time of year."
