Stanley boss John Coleman has had a boost ahead of tomorrow's trip to Play-Off chasing Doncaster tomorrow night.
Newcastle loan midfielder Dan Barlaser was stretchered off in the final minutes of Saturday's 3-0 loss to table topping Luton Town and it was feared he could be out for the season.
However, he is expected back to face sixth-placed Rovers tomorrow night as 17th placed Stanley look to secure League One football next season.“It's not as bad as first feared, from all accounts it was a spasm and it would be a boost to have him tomorrow as I thought he was one of our better players on Saturday,” said Coleman.
The Reds will definitely be without keeper Dimi Evtimov who was sent off for two bookable offences on 24 minutes against the Hatters and Sam Finley, who suffered a knee injury against Walsall and is out for the season.
The Stanley boss is wary his squad may be tired after playing more than 65 minutes with ten-men.
“We have had a long slog and Doncaster have had an extra day's rest but I know our players are determined to put it right,” said Coleman.
“With our lads, they give everything and you can't fault their effort. They put a good shift in against Luton but we never gave ourselves a chance to get a foothold in the game.
“We gave got three games to go and got to give it our all.
“Doncaster are a good side with good players, they have got Mallik Wilks and Joe Wright who we know from their time here.
“They have one of the best strikers in the league in John Marquis and a lad from Liverpool who I have tried to sign a couple of times, Herbie Kane.
“They have got good players but one of the advantages hopefully for us will be the pitch will be nice and maybe we can get our game going.”
This time last year Coleman was celebrating the League Two title, this season has been different.
“It is nervous times but you have still got to look forward and I am looking at a player today with an eye on next year as you have got to stay ahead of the game.
“Hopefully we will be in League One and I do now have a clearer idea of what is required next season.
“Last season was great but you got to take the rough with the smooth, without pain there is no pleasure.”
