Seamus Conneely says he is satisfied with Stanley's start to life EFL League One, although he admits he wants to improve his own performances.
The Reds captain came to the rescue with the equaliser against Scunthorpe United last Saturday, as John Coleman's side continue to hunt for a first home win in the competition.
“I think we've had an ok start, maybe even a decent start,” said Conneely. “We're unbeaten since the opening day of the season against Gillingham, so that's good.
“We're sitting eighth in the table, and I think if you'd have given us that on the first day of the season we'd have taken it.
“We were very good at home last year, but we still haven't got that home win this season so that's niggling at us a little bit.
“I think we should have got it last Saturday, as we could have been two or three up at half time, but we didn't take our chances.
“But when you're 1-0 down with ten minutes to go you'll definitely take a point at that stage.”
The Reds have amassed nine points from their opening six league games, with Conneely starting every game this season.
The skipper scored his first goal of the campaign last Saturday, but the 30-year-old feels that he has more to give.
Conneely said: “I think my performances have been ok at best so far this season. I thought the Scunthorpe game was probably one of the better games I've had this year.
“[My goal] was a relief really. If we'd have lost that game it would have been a real sickener because we played so well.
“Billy [Kee] takes his fair share of goals, but with his foot injury other lads have got to step up. If we can share the goals out it will certainly stand us in good stead.”
