Accrington Stanley have been put through their paces at the Royal Signals Football Association.
John Coleman and Jimmy Bell took the squad to Stafford for a day's training, where they took on the army team and trained alongside them.
Coleman said: “It was just a case of a new experience for our players, doing something different and seeing another walk of life.”
Warrant Officer Lee Fraser said: “Even though there was a gulf in ability, it was a great training session put on by John and Jimmy who I have known for nine years.
“The Accrington squad had a great attitude, they showed their unbelievable team spirit and I was really impressed with the way they embraced our players.”
