Help raise money for Mind

24 October 2018

Stanley assistant manager Jimmy Bell is appealing for help to raise money for Mind - the EFL's Official Charity Partner.

Bell's partner Mandy King organises a charity event ever year, with all proceeds this year going to the mental health charity.

The charity day is a fashion show and raffle, and includes a two course lunch and a glass of prosecco upon arrival.

Tickets are £18, and Bell is asking that anyone who wants to help donate items contact him through Accrington Stanley Football Club.

"We're looking for someone to possibly sponsor the day or to donate prizes for the raffle or auction, depending on the prize," said Bell.

"Mental health is at the front of everyone's thoughts at the minute and we've had players ourselves who have suffered through mental illness - it's a massive thing.

"People have kept quiet for years about mental illness and not really knowing the causes for it and why it comes about it certain people.

"We've had Billy Kee suffer here and I've dealt with him personally and I know how it affects people.

"I just think that maybe a few more pounds will help promote awareness and research towards mental illness."

The event takes place on Saturday 10th November, between 12pm and 4pm, at:

Tiggis Ribble Valley,

The Old Toll House,

Longsight Road,

BB1 9EX

Tickets are available to buy from bohokisses.co.uk.
