Accrington Stanley's annual funfair and firework display at the Wham Stadium was a sparkling success with more than 1,700 people enjoying the evening.
In partnership with HML Recycling who sponsored the fantastic firework display, Accrington Stanley's Commercial and Events Team would like to thank everyone who came along to the Wham Stadium on Sunday 4th November to support for the club's annual firework display.We would like to thank Magical Fireworks and John Collins Funfairs who once again provided the spectacular firework display and family funfair. We would also like to thank local band The Beerkats who performed live in the McMurrays Haulage and Bowland Brewery FanZone.
Daniel Bowerbank, Commercial Manager, said: “We were absolutely delighted to welcome over 1,700 people from the local community to the second annual Community Funfair and Firework event at the Wham Stadium. A noticeable increase on last year's numbers showed the community's support for the club event and we look forward to making it even better next year.”
He added, “ The additional rides for the older teenagers and a live band proved to be a great success and it was great to see so many new faces enjoying the funfair and fireworks.”
Managing Director, David Burgess said “The football club would like to say a massive thank you to HML Recycling for sponsoring the firework display and once again supporting the club and community.
He added “ Next year it will be even bigger and better as we continue to develop the stadium and its surroundings. We want this to be the Accrington communities principle evening of fun and fireworks.”
