Aaron Chapman has won the Sky Bet League Two Golden Glove Award after keeping 18 of Stanley's 19 clean sheets this season.
Stanley enjoyed 19 shut-outs altogether in a historic title winning season, that has seen them win promotion to the third tier of English football for the first time in their history.
Chapman missed just one game of the Reds' successful league campaign, following his minor car crash ahead of the home game against Notts County on Easter Monday.
“If anyone had said to me last year that I'd get anywhere near this trophy, I'd have said they were crazy,” said Chappy on receiving the trophy. “It's a real honour for me to get this.
“It means a lot. This has been, hands down, the most enjoyable part of my career. Not many get to experience what I have this season, but this award isn't just for me. We've done it as a team.
“The lads have bailed me out a couple of times, so this award is for everyone, not just for me.”
Chapman had to battle for his place as John Coleman's first choice shot stopper as the season began, and thanked the manager for putting his faith in him.
“It's been a big battle,” said Chapman. “I've put in a lot of hard work, but without the gaffer's trust I'm getting nowhere near the number one spot.
“You've got to have broad shoulders in football, it doesn't matter who you are. You've got to take the rough with the smooth.
“As a goalkeeper, if I make a mistake then it's a goal. If a striker makes a mistake, then they get another chance and they usually put it away.”
The Golden Glove Award caps off a brilliant season for the 27-year-old, after achieving promotion and collecting a League Two winners medal with Stanley this year.
It is the second time that the ‘keeper has been part of a League Two winning team having been a member of the Chesterfield squad that were crowned champions in the 2013/14 season.
“This season means much more to me,” beamed Chapman. “I have played pretty much every game this season, so it means so much more to get that winner's medal.
“I don't think anyone can believe that we went on the run that we did. To come out the end of it as league champions is unbelievable.”
