Andy Holt opens new care facilities

1 May 2018

Stanley owner Andy Holt cut the ribbon to officially open impressive new facilities at Rough Lee Home in Accrington today.

The home provides care for adults with physical disabilities and receives funding from local councils and generous donations from the public as a Registered Charitable Incorporated Organisation.

Two new purpose-built rooms, with disabled en-suite facilities, were officially opened by the Reds' chairman this afternoon, which will allow the care home to expand and provide beds for 17 residents.

“I'm so glad to have been able to come here today,” said Mr Holt to staff and residents at the ceremony.

“This really is a fantastic place. It's like a little oasis in the town with these beautiful surroundings.

“Rough Lee is a great facility and it is very well run. I'm not at all surprised to see that the home is succeeding because it deserves to with all the hard work that has gone on here.

“There are people that have been residents here for a long time, and you can feel when you walk in that it's a happy place.

"All credit to everyone involved and I hope these new facilities will allow you to continue your good work.”
