Rovers will be tough: Coley

John Coleman says Stanley have to approach Saturday's home clash with Forest Green Rovers in the same way as their match at top-of-the-table Luton Town.

The Reds leapfrogged the Hatters to go top of League Two with a 93rd minute winner last Saturday.Forest Green are 20th in League Two but are one of the in-form teams with just one loss in their last six games.

“We have to treat every game exactly the same as every team will pose their own threat,” said Coleman, with Stanley having won seven home games on the bounce.

“We beat Forest Green earlier in the season 1-0 and we were fortunate. I don't think we touched the ball for 65 minutes.

“They have made reinforcements in the January transfer window and are probably in the top four current in-form teams in the league, probably more than Luton, and they will pose us plenty of problems.

“On Saturday we celebrated winning a game of football but it was just another three points towards the total we are desperate to achieve.

“People want to talk about us being in a rich vein of form but we have achieved nothing yet. We are now up there to be shot at and teams will want to knock us off. I would be lying though if I said I don't want to stay there.”

Stanley will come up against former Reds defender Farrend Rawson, who was on loan from Derby at the Wham Stadium earlier this season.

“Faz did a job for us, he is a good player and worked hard. He was on loan when he was with us and you understand that players may move on.

“He has gone to Forest Green for more money and a full-time contract and there is no animosity. It was a two way process.”
