First year professional Niall Watson was on target as was trialist Brad Lynch, from Blackburn Rovers.
Winger Danny Williams, who has just signed a new one year deal with the Reds, scored the third goal.
First team players Erico Sousa and Zehn Mohammed got a run out under youth team coach, Andy Gray.
"The attitude of all the players was superb," said Gray. "It was a mixed team but the senior players led by example."
