Sunderland recall Stryjek

18 January 2018

Max Stryjek has returned to parent club Sunderland with immediate effect after the Championship side opted to recall the 21-year-old from his loan spell with the Reds.

The Polish stopper joined Stanley on deadline day in August, but was forced off just nine minutes into his debut at Morecambe the following day.

Stryjek would go on to make two further appearances for the Reds during his loan spell, but the goalkeeper has now returned to the Stadium of Light.

"We would like to thank Max for his services and for all of his efforts during his time with us," said manager John Coleman. "We wish him all the very best in the future."
