Lancashire Night at Accrington Stanley! The Official Accrington Stanley Supporters' Club are hosting an amazing Lancashire night in the Sports Bar at the Wham Stadium, on Friday 9th February with doors opening at 7:30pm. Stanley Accrington will be making his first ever appearance at the club and he'll be sharing top billing with legendary group The Oldham Tinkers, ably supported by the master of the humorous monologue, Ron Davies.
In almost forty years of getting laughs on the folk music circuit, it's hard to imagine that funny man Stanley Accrington has never appeared at Accrington Stanley – but on Friday, 9 February, he'll be putting that right.
‘I hope people won't be confused', Stanley said. It'll be Stanley Accrington at Accrington Stanley, not Accrington Stanley at Stanley Accrington, which is a good thing, because my garden's not big enough to stage a football match.'
The Lancashire Night is the first in a series of events planned by the OASSC to mark the 50th anniversary of the football club's renaissance in 1968. Coincidentally, 2018 sees the club clock-up 50 years of campaigns in the Football League. We're planning to celebrate by bringing the people of the town together to enjoy some great entertainment throughout the year.Where are tickets on sale?
