John Coleman is pleased with how Stanley have started life in League One, and admits that his side's early away successes are a nice surprise ahead of the trip to Blackpool tomorrow.
The Reds visit Bloomfield Road for a Lancashire derby on summer bank holiday weekend, having won both of their previous league away games this term.
Stanley will be looking to extend their unbeaten league run to four games, after wins on the road against Bristol Rovers and Oxford either side of the 1-1 home draw with Charlton Athletic.
With the season still in its infancy, Coleman's side sit eighth in the table with seven points from a possible 12.
"I'm just surprised that six of those seven points have come away from home," said Coleman. "We know we've got a certain way of playing that's exciting and it should be exciting at home, and we want to start getting home wins under our belt because that was the cornerstone of success last year.
"But you have to take each game as it comes and each game will pose different problems. Just because you've won the last two away games doesn't mean you're going to win the next one.
"We know that Blackpool have got good players and, like most teams in this league, they can pose you problems, so we've got to come up with a way to counter those problems."
Blackpool were beaten 2-1 by Portsmouth in their first home game of the season, before a 2-0 victory over Coventry City, gave them their first league win of the campaign.
The Seasiders have conceded just two goals in League One so far, but the boss admits that is not a cause for concern with the season being so young.
He said: "I'm not particularly worried. I don't think you can read too much into previous games in the early part of the season.
"If you look at Crewe for example, they won their first game 6-0 and then lost a game 6-0 in the space of two or three weeks. We know that we've got a style of football that we play and we just want to keep on trying to improve. That's our mission.
"Blackpool have had a decent start and obviously got a good win the other night against Coventry.
"It was a shock with Gary Bowyer going so early but the caretaker manager, Terry McPhillips, is a really good friend of mine. He's a great footballing person, a great character, who knows the game inside out so I'm expecting a tough game.
"We'll have a drink after the game but it'll be deadly serious during the game, on the pitch and on the sidelines. We''ll both be doing our best to win."
