'A great adventure': Coley

John Coleman admits he is still struggling to get over Tuesday night's loss at Newport - but he is keen to point to the bigger picture.

Stanley's 15-game unbeaten run came to an end with the 2-1 loss and they still need a point in their final two games to clinch the League Two title.

While Coleman hates losing, the run which has taken Accrington into League One has been phenomenal and the manager knows sometimes you have to take a step back.

"I get really upset when we lose, in fact sometimes I am upset when we win!" said Coleman, whose side take on play-off hopefuls Lincoln on Saturday. "It was despair as we had a prize to pick up at the end of that game and we didn't.

"I have watched the Newport game back and perhaps I was too critical of the players at the end, we have had games like that which have fallen in our favour and this one didn't. On the day Newport were forceful enough to dictate the outcome.

"But we have been on an amazing run which I will probably never go on again in my lifetime. We found a bank of form at the right time and I don't know many, if any, teams who have done this.

"The 15-game unbeaten run has been a great adventure and winning 13 out of the 15 is a remarkable achievement.

"I and the players have got to enjoy it and this is the reason why we have been promoted and could win the league."
