Reds assistant Jimmy Bell says his side are 'striving for perfection' ahead of the visit of Carlisle United tomorrow.
Stanley head into the fixture off the back of a 2-1 win away at local rivals Morecambe but Bell insists he and his staff weren't happy with the performance and will be demanding more from their side.
"We're striving for perfection," he said. "I think everyone in life wants better and the minute you stand still will be a concern. We'll always strive for better.
"We analysed the Morecambe game and we weren't happy, obviously we won the game but we want to improve.
"We created a lot of chances but the game was far too open. That's something we've tried to address this week in training as we know other teams could hurt us.
"Carlisle are a very good team, I watched them last week and we are definitely going to have to tighten up in certain areas."
Keith Curle's side have enjoyed a mixed start to the season, sitting 11th with two wins, two losses and a draw.
There two teams couldn't be separated last year, playing out 1-1 draws in both fixtures, and Bell is expecting a tough test again.
"Carlisle will definitely be around that top seven in May," he said. "They're a very good outfit, strong in all departments and they've got a large squad all capable of causing us problems.
"They can chop and change whenever they want and that makes them very strong, we're in now doubt that it will be a tough afternoon and we will have to be at our very best to take all three points."
The arrivals of Max Stryjek, Farrend Rawson and Callum Johnson on deadline day meant that Stanley now have eight loan players in their ranks, with only five able to be included in the match day squad.
Bell says the situation isn't ideal but that the challenge facing the loanee players will ensure that everybody is giving their all to be included.
"It's a situation we've found ourselves in, it isn't ideal but we will have to deal with it," he added. "It's a challenge for us to work out the best combination and it's also a challenge to the lads themselves.
"They know they have to make the most of every opportunity and every training session, so in that aspect it's creating a healthy competition for places."
