Stanley players and staff have teamed up with new club partners Celebrate Gifts to help bring cheer to children spending Christmas in hospital this year.
As you may have noticed on our official Twitter page last week, Stanley stars swapped working on football drills to perfecting their craft skills.
The entire first team squad and coaching staff visited our latest club sponsors Celebrate Gifts to take part in a special Christmas workshop.
The players spent the afternoon creating handmade chocolate bouquets, that they will be handing out at the annual Accrington Stanley Christmas visit to the children's wards at Royal Blackburn Hospital.
Led by skipper Seamus Conneely, the lads were split into two teams and, with more than a little bit of help from the trained chocolate florists, created several special Stanley branded bouquets, all kindly donated by the team at Celebrate Gifts.
Speaking afterwards, Conneely said: "We were divided into two teams, some of the lads gluing and sticking the bouquets, ready for the lads upstairs to add their choice of chocolate to create the gifts.
"We've all had a good time and it's of course going to a great cause, we can't wait to take the bouquets to the children in Blackburn Hospital on our yearly visit.
"We had the competition to see who could make the best bouquet and it all got quite competitive, I think there was a little bit of cheating going on with lads trying to pass some of the staffs work off as their own!"
The competitive streak amongst the Reds squad does not stop off the pitch, with ITV on hand hosting a 'Stanley bake-off' to see who could create the best bouquet.
