Accrington Stanley have completed the loan signing of Leeds United forward Mallik Wilks.
The 18-year-old is a product of the academy at Elland Road and made his Leeds debut as a substitute earlier this year, in the FA Cup fourth round tie with Sutton United, playing the final 25 minutes.
His impressive form last season for the Under 23 side caught the attention of then manager Garry Monk, who awarded him a squad number and named him regularly on the first team bench.
"I'm here to play games, score goals and help the club fight for promotion," said Wilks.
"Accrington is a club with great league history and I hope that I can add my name to that history.
"I've been at Leeds since I was 15, this is my first loan spell and I am excited to get going and make that step up from development squad football to senior league football."
John Coleman said: "Mallik comes here with a big reputation from Leeds, we've seen young lads come here on loan and set their career alight, hopefully he can do the same.
"He's a level-headed boy and I'm looking forward to working with him, it was ideal for him to come here as I felt we needed more cover in that position and he needed senior football, it suits both parties well."
Wilks trained with his new team mates for the first time today and could be in contention to make his debut at Notts County on Friday evening.
Stanley's new man is now available to sponsor for both his home and away kit, priced at £149 inc vat or both at a reduced rate of £275 inc vat.
