Rawson signs on loan

31 August 2017

Centre-back Farrend Rawson has joined Accrington Stanley on loan from Derby County until January.

The 21-year-old arrives at the Wham Stadium having had previous loan spells with Rotherham United in the Championship and most recently Coventry City in League One.

Rawson is a product of the Derby Academy and signed professional terms in 2014. His impressive form for the U23's at Pride Park saw him earn a call-up to the first team substitutes bench for an EFL cup tie with Charlton Athletic.

John Coleman said: "Farrend has played in the Championship with Rotherham and was on loan at Coventry last season so he has plenty of experience.

"He is tall, comfortable on the ball, takes set-plays and is an accomplished footballer. He ticks all the boxes for us."

The deal is subject to EFL ratification.

Stanley's new man is now available to sponsor for both his home and away kit, priced at £149 inc vat or both at a reduced rate of £275 inc vat.
